Our personal pets of choice are Golden Retrievers. Because we live near the beach, Goldens are the perfect pets for us. But we understand Goldens are not the right pet for everyone.
Because we love our pets so much, we are committed to helping other people/families find the right pets to enjoy their lives with here in Thailand. We believe pets are God's gifts to us humans. But we also believe these gifts come with great responsibilities.
It's our mission to place each pet that we sell into a family that is well suited to giving it the care and love it deserves for the entirety of its life.
Pets can, and do, bring so much love into the lives of the humans that own them. So we make it our mission to make sure that our customers have a clear understanding of what commitments they need to make when they buy a pet from us.
Sometimes this means saying no to a customer that wants to buy a pet he or she is not well suited to caring for: and this, on many occasions has resulted in those customers going elsewhere to buy those pets. Nevertheless, we are committed to putting the welfare of the animals we sell over any short term "profits" we might have otherwise achieved by compromising on our commitment to the welfare of the animals we sell; and to the welfare of their parents.
Simply put, we don't buy/sell animals that are raised in substandard, unsanitary, or cramped breeding facilities. We expect the breeders of the pets that we sell to you, to take as good care of them (and their parents) as we expect you to. And we go to every possible length to make sure that happens! Likewise, we make sure the pets we sell are only transported in ways that put their wellbeing, comfort and health ABOVE any money that might possibly be saved by using the cheapest transport methods legally possible.
Most of our customers appreciate the fact that we are trying to make sure they end up with a pet that is well suited to their individual (or family) circumstances.
That's why we ask all of our customers to complete a pet placement questionnaire before we even consider selling them a pet. We also want to make sure the pets we sell end up in a home that is willing, and able to provide them with the care, love, and proper environment that they will need to live healthy happy lives.
We also interview each and every customer, in person if possible, by video chat in most cases, or by phone as a last resort. The questionnaire is helpful, but it often highlights other issues that need to be discussed in person; not just for the sake of the pet, but for the sake of their potential new owners as well. Some customers don't want to answer a bunch of "nosey" questions though, so unfortunately we are not able (in good conscience) to sell them a pet.
Over 50% of the customers that fill out pet application forms with us, are NOT approved to buy the type of pet they are asking for. In some cases we are able to recommend a more suitable type of pet, but in no small number of cases, we lose sales because of this policy. We are happy to do so though, because it's part of who we are and what we believe in. We take our responsibility towards the animals we sell very seriously.
In most cases, it is much cheaper to airfreight a pet to its new home than is to deliver it by car. For this reason many breeders or pet sales companies prefer airfreight. It’s definately cheaper! It's also the perfect way to torture an animal, and we NEVER do it! Some customers insist we airfreight their puppies so they can save money on delivery costs.
In our opinion, if you can't afford to have a pet safely and comfortably delivered to your home, or if you are unable to go pick it up yourself, you really shouldn't be buying one at this point in time! Wait until a litter is available closer to your home, or until you can afford to go get it yourself, or to have it delivered safely by a professional driver. DON'T TORTURE ANIMALS just so you can save a few dollars on delivery fees. Potentially they are going to be loyal members of your family for many, many years!
We can guarantee that there absolutely are other places in Thailand to buy your pets at lower prices. But frankly speaking, we do not want to do business with people that are willing to sacrifice the welfare of their pets, or the parents of their pets just to save a few Baht. If getting the lowest price is your primary concern when buying a pet, please look elsewhere!
We simply cannot compete on pricing with the many puppy mills and animal farms in Thailand that do everything possible to lower the price of the animals they sell, including the inhumane treatment of their "breeding stock." Nor are we willing to lower delivery costs by subjecting animals to the intense discomfort and trauma involved by airfreighting them to their new homes.
